How I save my face from the Polar Vortex

This winter has been tough. It's been even tougher on my skin.

I was at the point where layering thick amounts of moisturizer on multiple times of day didn't even get rid of the dry, flaky patches on my face. Any zit that popped up uninvited made it worse. I used my thick scarf to hide my face from the bitter wind but I ended up with foundation on it. The problems never ended.

I luckily have access to a beauty closet laden with products I've never tried let alone heard of. And in there I found my two miracle workers.

Let me introduce you to Caudalie Divine Oil and Hourglass Illusion tinted moisturizer.

These two products have saved my skin. My face glows even on the coldest, snowiest days. After washing my face with a lemon scrub I massage the oil all over and let my skin drink up the moisture. Like many others, I was scared to put oil on my acne-prone skin. But it truly is the best moisturizer I've ever used.

My skin looks better, my complexion is smoother, and I even have less breakouts. After massaging the oil in I blend the tinted moisturizer all over with my fingers and my skin looks flawless. I haven't worn foundation since. It gives me just enough coverage and color (the shade I use is beige) that I look like I may have seen the sun yesterday (that's a lie). Matte skin and foundation has been trending lately on the runways but I prefer more dewy looking skin.

I'd use the oil all over my body but then I'd be out in about a week and my budget won't allow that. So until I can bathe in the stuff I'll just show off my face.
