The iCurse is back with more bad luck

I lost my iPhone. Again. I mean, it has been awhile since anything has happened to my Apple products so I guess it was only in time. I've had that iPhone for over a year now, which is a record.

Let me start with the fact that I am a very responsible drinker. I've never lost anything on my nights out, people usually don't know when I'm drunk because I'm just myself and not crazy or throwing my belongings everywhere.

Yet Friday night I managed to lose (or had stolen) several items from my clutch. I was at Tenjune, a club in the meatpacking district for my friend's birthday. I had my usual wristlet clutch that zips close, but I managed to lose my iPhone, compact mirror, lipstick, chapstick, and metrocard. But I still had my keys, cash, and cards. Not sure if they somehow spilled out or that stuff was stolen.

I scoured out the place, squeezing myself through the crowds as I hunched over looking for anything on the floor. I told any security person I could find that my phone was gone. I asked the annoyed bartender about 10 times if anyone had turned anything in. I left in denial that my phone was gone.

I got to the subway station and realized I had to buy a new metrocard. At least my monthly metrocard was up next week so I didn't lose too much, though I did find out I can get refunded for the days I missed. I tried to buy a new unlimited month card only to find out I had insufficient funds in my account. Oh goody, I thought, I'm phoneless and broke, and it's 4 am. Don't worry, I was able to buy a week metrocard and get myself home at 5 am. Oh before this I went to several food cart stands trying to get a hotdog for $1 but everyone was charging $2 or $3. I told them all I wasn't paying that for a measly hotdog.

The next morning (I didn't have my phone to set an alarm for work so I had to figure out how to set it on my iHome) I kept trying to call my phone, still in denial it was gone. I had to get to work though, and managed to just miss every subway. I watched them all pull away from the station as I was running down the stairs. Then I had to damage out a blood-stained swimsuit bottom at work. It just wasn't my day.
