Four ingredient peanut butter cookies to satisfy your cravings
I rarely crave sweets or dessert. It's usually fries or anything smothered in buffalo sauce that I crave. But tonight I made a super healthy dinner of lemon garlic chicken, sauteed spinach with sliced almonds (I ended up buying a GIGANTIC bag of spinach at the produce market so that's what I'm eating this week), and carrot "fries."
After, I was craving something peanut butter-y. So I made four ingredient peanut butter cookies. Yes, four ingredients. I may cook a lot but I don't bake and usually don't have ingredients lying around. But these...I found a recipe online and kind of followed it.
Here goes:
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oats
1 egg
That's it. The original recipe I saw called for 1 cup sugar but that sounded too sweet to me so I cut it in half and opted for oats instead. I added a chocolate piece to some of them. I baked them for about 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven. I put a piece of chocolate in some of them. And they were perfect. Just what I needed. Try them!
