10 things to do when you finally get a real job
So you finally graduated from your internship(s) and passed off the torch to some young meat. It's time to celebrate having a real job. If it's your dream job you're allowed to celebrate all year long.
1. Upgrade your liquor of choice. Smirnoff is for interns. Grey Goose is for us adults.
2. Immediately change your title on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and your blog. You know you've been dying to change it to something more than "intern."
3. Take a lunch break. No more coffee or lunch runs for you...watch the new interns do that as you sit back and enjoy your lunch break.
4. Treat yourself to a shopping spree. You no longer want to be mistaken for an intern in the hallway with your American Eagle jeans.
5. Get your hair done. New job? New 'do.
6. Pop a bottle of champagne. Any celebration is a cause for champagne, but especially this one. I won't judge if you drink two.
7. Enjoy a nice dinner. Do a sunday roast or order that steak you've been eyeing at that restaurant you pass by.
8. When the paychecks start rolling in, treat your friends to drinks. I'm sure they've treated you...multiple times.

10. Don't get too comfortable. Just because you're not an intern anymore doesn't mean you don't have to prove yourself anymore. This is just one rung on the ladder.
